VP of SOA Solutions

Responsible for SOA product development, delivery, support, and marketing. Successful candidates will come from an integration products background, have 10+ years management experience, be hands on, dynamic, and enjoy interacting with customers and analysts. 40% travel world-wide.

SOA Middleware Product Manager

Description

A hands-on Product Manager is needed to manage full product lifecycle activities within their integration software division. The Product Manager's responsibilities include researching market and customer requirements, defining product strategy, content and positioning, advocating customer and market requirements internally, and evangelizing the product line both internally and externally. The product manager will work closely with sales, marketing, business development, engineering, and QA.

The superb candidate can be brought in at the director-level.

Responsibilities

  • Gather requirements from internal and external customers;
  • Stay on top of the competitive product landscape:
    • Understand product weaknesses and strengths relative to the competition;
    • Drive future product content to improve competitiveness of the product line.
  • Gather research and analyze functionality requirements, and high-level designs for new features;
  • Maintain complete understanding of the features and functions of the product, and be able to present product features to customers and internal audiences;
  • Train sales and sales support on products;
  • Develop functional specifications for software engineering;
  • Work with software engineering on system architecture and design;
  • Review and test prototypes;
  • Help identify and resolve issues in customer service center;
  • Position will involve 30% travel.

Requirements

  • 5 to 7+ years of experience in pre-sales, development, or services;
  • At least 3 years in product management of a technically complex product;
  • 3-5 years of experience with an EAI, ESB or Web Services Management vendor;
  • Candidates should have solid experience with SOA, BPEL, and Web Services Management;
  • Must have background in software product management with solid understanding of product lifecycle from inception through delivery and post-delivery support;
  • Understanding of the requirements associated with building highly available and scaleable software solutions is a requirement;
  • Strong ability to learn new technology in a short time;
  • Must have experience with rapid product release cycles;
  • Willingness for moderate travel as required to support trade shows, product introduction and customer requirements gathering.

Channel Managers

Three experienced channel managers are needed:

  • The first will be based in the Washington, DC area and work with Federal government system integrators;
  • Another will be based in the St. Louis area (description TBD); and
  • Another will be based in the Southeast (e.g., Atlanta) (description TBD).

Title: Global Alliance Manager (Federal)
Location: DC Metro Area (candidates are expected to reside somewhere in the corridor between Baltimore, MD and Richmond, VA)

Description

Lead the business development strategy and delivery with federal systems integrators for the channels group. This role will act as a facilitator to develop new business between targeted federal systems integrators and the field sales organization.

Actively prospect, market, recruit and negotiate with federal based systems integrators to incorporate, co-sell and/or co-market business intelligence and integration products. This position will be measured on the incremental partner revenue generated through partnership efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow the business relationship with major federal Systems Integrators (SIs). List includes, but not limited to, Lockheed Martin, Northrup Grumman IT, Booz, Allen, Hamilton (BAH), Titan and others;
  • Identify opportunities to formulate and develop meaningful business partnerships and alliance relationships that will be used to influence business opportunities and contribute to sustainable growth (Partner Outreach, develop and manage relationships with key partners within the territory);
  • Align products, services, resources and solutions to meet the needs of these partners;
  • Serve as the primary strategic contact between partners, the channels team, and the company’s direct sales force within the assigned territory;
  • Leverage the channels team to facilitate tactical opportunities as needed;
  • Utilize the regional Partner Delivery Managers (PDMs) in the delivery of identified opportunities;
  • Establish (or assist) and manage key partners to ensure they achieve agreed business plans and revenue objectives;
  • Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets;
  • Develop relationships with third party companies and influencers to achieve business goals;
  • Collaborate with marketing on programs to identify and drive the production of necessary channel sales, training tools and materials as needed within the assigned territory.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years sales/marketing preferably with Systems integrators within the federal space;
  • Strong track record of providing direction/leadership to internal & external teams;
  • Ability to lead the planning & execution of complex business development efforts;
  • Solid interpersonal and negotiating skills;
  • Ability to interact with field sales, sales management, partners and executives on a professional business level;
  • Willingness to travel as needed;
  • Channels business development and software sales (Business Intelligence or Integration) a plus.

Intermediate Java/XML Developer

Description

Seven strong team-oriented developers are needed to help with ongoing development of integration products and tools. The role will be responsible for all aspects of designing and developing integration development tools, servers, and consoles using Java and XML.

In addition to joining immediately, these positions are available on a three month contract-to-hire basis.

Requirements

  • Strong in both Java and XML (including XML Schema and ideally XSLT) "and how they relate to each other";
  • 3+ years of hands-on development experience using the stated technologies;
  • Great verbal communication skills;
  • Motivated self-starting team player;
  • Strong understanding of J2EE and Web application architectures;
  • Able to develop applications from design specifications with minimal supervision;
  • Willing to take a salaried position, either immediately or after a three month contract-to-hire.

Preferences

  • Experience using open source dev tools (Eclipse, CVS, Jetty);
  • Experience with SQL, Oracle 9, mySQL (from an application development standpoint).

SOA Consultants

Description

Experienced service-oriented architecture consultants are needed to work on a variety of customer projects. Candidates must be able to work independently and quickly learn new tools and technologies, analyze customer requirements and design and implement effective service-based solutions. Candidates must also be comfortable mentoring and educating customers' developers. Some travel expected.
